








Monoprinting Class: Sitka
THURSDAY, MAY 29, 5-8PM.
Location: Sitka Sound Science Center, 834 Lincoln St, Sitka AK 99835.
Join Salt Water Press for an evening of printmaking - monoprinting natural specimens, perfect for the art and science lover!
In this class, we will discuss a brief history of printmaking, explore design & composition basics, learn how to mix ink, brayer ink onto gelli plates, pull a print via several different methods, and clean up your work station. You will leave with 4-6 monoprints ready to be framed or displayed after drying.
Participants should forage for natural specimens such as flowers, plants, seaweed, fungus, lichen, shells, etc, before class. All printing materials (ink, paper, etc) provided. BYOB dinner and beverages!
