Join Salt Water Press for an evening of perhaps the nerdiest printmaking topic we can dive into: REDUCTION PRINTING! Some prior printing experience is recommended, but not required.
In this class, you will learn how to plan your design for the reduction print process, build a registration jig, carve and print a linoleum block layer by layer, and other useful tricks of the trade. A detailed PDF workbook will be sent to participants 1 week before the class to help familiarize the process and begin your sketching. Participants will go home at the end of class with:
A limited edition reduction print, up to 10 prints in the edition.
Registration jig
Registration tabs
Carving & inking tools if desired (see class pricing)
Any leftover supplies not used in class (paper, pencils, leftover ink, etc).
House supplies provided include: brayers, ink, presses.
Beverages and light snacks (think some muffins and fruit) provided. Brown bag lunch or more snacks strongly encouraged.
Don’t need carving tools or a brayer? Use “BYOTOOLS” at check out for a $20 discount.
